Moderation Policy

Last updated: May 25, 2026

1. Purpose

CASEFORUM is a public record transparency platform. We host court records, AI-generated case summaries, and user-submitted commentary. This policy governs how we review and moderate content on the platform.

2. What We Moderate

  • User comments on threads — all comments are reviewed before publication.
  • User claims about case facts — reviewed for accuracy and relevance.
  • AI-generated summaries — automatically flagged for review; may contain inaccuracies.
  • Privacy takedown requests — reviewed and actioned within 30 days.

3. Moderation Guidelines

Content will be rejected or removed if it:

  • Contains personally identifiable information (PII) not already in the public record.
  • Is used or intended to be used for FCRA-regulated purposes (employment, credit, insurance, housing, or tenant screening).
  • Contains harassment, threats, or defamatory material.
  • Is clearly inaccurate or misleading about court proceedings.
  • Violates applicable law or court orders (including sealing or protective orders).

4. Review Process

All user-generated content passes through a review queue before publication. Moderators may approve, reject, or request corrections. Users are notified of moderation decisions.

AI-generated content is published immediately but flagged for human review. AI summaries are clearly labeled as AI-generated and should not be relied upon as authoritative.

5. Appeals

If your content is rejected and you believe this was in error, contact us at [email protected]. Appeals are reviewed within 14 business days.

6. Privacy Takedowns

If you believe your PII is displayed on CASEFORUM in a way that violates your privacy rights, submit a takedown request at our Privacy page. We review all requests within 30 days.

CASEFORUM is not a consumer reporting agency. Content on this platform is not for FCRA-regulated purposes. See our FCRA Notice for more information.
